HOW IT WORKS

How Dips works.

Trading fees fill a jar. A dip allocates rewards. Holders claim their share in ETH.

The basics

Each activated Dips coin has its own rewards jar and background workers. Creator fees from trading are collected into that jar. When the tracked USD value drops 20% from its reference, a round reserves the percentage chosen by its creator for eligible holders. New coins allow 1–90% in whole numbers, defaulting to 23%. That percentage is permanently locked when the jar is created.

Rewards become available after the worker publishes the round and its transaction confirms. You claim them on the website; they are not automatically transferred to your wallet. Rewards depend on fees collected and do not guarantee that a trading loss will be covered.

Launch a coin

  1. Open Launch coin and connect your creator wallet on Robinhood Chain.
  2. Enter a name, ticker, and description. Drop in an image and save it with a wallet signature. You can also add a website and X profile.
  3. Review your coin and the launch fee. Public image hosting and the rewards service must be ready before continuing.
  4. Approve the rewards jar first, then the coin launch. The coin cannot launch through this flow until its jar is confirmed. Its agent links rewards automatically, with no third wallet approval.
  5. Open My coins to check activation and monitoring. Your connected wallet only manages the coins it created.

If a step is interrupted, return using the same wallet and browser to continue the saved setup. Fees go to the jar as soon as the coin launches. Rewards become active once the agent’s linking transaction confirms. You can close the site after the launch; the running service completes activation. Older coins may still require their original manual activation.

Fees and the jar

Collectible creator fees are waiting to be collected. Jar balance is ETH already received by the jar. Collection runs automatically when the configured minimum and gas rules allow it, so small fee amounts may wait.

Each round reserves the coin’s locked percentage of available ETH. Funds reserved for earlier rounds are excluded from later allocations. The remaining available ETH stays for future dips. The new jar has no owner withdrawal function.

Example using the default 23%: with 1 ETH available, the first round reserves 0.23 ETH. With no new fees, the next round reserves 23% of the remaining 0.77 ETH: 0.1771 ETH.

The 20% trigger

The reference follows new tracked USD highs. After a 20% drop, it resets to that crossed level. A later rise above the current reference moves it upward again. The starting market cap is not a guaranteed price floor.

A reference of $10,000 triggers at $8,000. After that round, the next level is $6,400. If the tracked value rises to $12,000 instead, the next trigger becomes $9,600.

A sharp fall can cross several levels and create several rounds. Each reserves the coin’s locked percentage of what remains available. At the maximum 90%, each round leaves at least 10% of the available balance for later dips. The worker processes on-chain trades in order, including supported pool trades after graduation, and converts the value using its ETH/USD price feed. Chart providers can show different USD values or update at different times.

Some existing test coins use a smaller threshold. Check the coin status; the normal launch threshold is 20%.

How your share is calculated

Each round uses eligible token balances at the end of the block containing the dip. System addresses, such as the trading curve and designated pool contracts, are excluded. Your share is proportional to your balance among eligible holders.

If you own 25% of the eligible tokens and a round reserves 0.23 ETH, your allocation is approximately 0.0575 ETH, before the gas you pay to claim.

Selling or transferring tokens can change your eligibility for that block. An empty jar cannot fund a reward, and a round with no eligible holders is skipped.

Claim your rewards

  1. Open Claim rewards and connect the wallet that held the coins.
  2. Dips finds published, unclaimed rewards across supported coins. You do not need to select each coin.
  3. Choose Claim all my rewards and confirm the required wallet transactions.

Newer jars combine rounds from the same coin in batches of up to 100. Different coin contracts can require separate approvals and gas; older contracts may require a transaction per round. Already claimed rewards cannot be claimed twice.

If a confirmation is pending, check its status before trying again. If nothing appears, verify your wallet and wait for the round to be published. A detected dip alone does not mean rewards are already claimable.

What runs behind the scenes?

Each registered coin gets its own monitoring and rewards workers. They collect fees, process trades, track dip levels, calculate holder snapshots, and publish allocations. You do not need to keep the website open when those workers are running on an always-on server.

The workers need a working RPC connection, enough gas, and a running host. Local workers stop when their host stops. A domain by itself does not run automation. Check My coins for the latest status rather than assuming a coin is active because it launched.

The reporter supplies prices and holder snapshots to the contract. Claims depend on published reward data being available. For this local setup, always-on hosting and the final deployed live test are still outstanding.
